Colleagues journalist members of the FPA,
Due to
shortage of time and the engagement in the coverage of the crucial inter
– Palestinian negations in Cairo and the difficult preparation of the
Arab Summit in Doha, Qatar, the timing of the Alexandria visit will be
postponed to Saturday and Sunday 4th
and 5th of April 2009.
As the
governor of Alexandria is hosting us in a decent hotel, and we are
invited for lunch both days, we have only to pay the bus. Therefore it
is enough to register with our office from now, but make sure you come.

Colleagues,
On
Saturday and
Sunday 21-22 March 2009,
the FPA envisages a two day visit to Alexandria.
The program
includes a visit of the harbor, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina with its
planetarium and museum, a visit of the Alexandria Cultural
Museum, conferences held by renowned scholars on
(a)
Alexandria's Cosmo political role in antiquity and in the 19th
and 20th century,
(b) Efforts of
regaining the old quality of a Mediterranean cultural cradle,
(c) History of
the region of now-a-days Alexandria and the Northern Cost before the
arrival of Alexander.
We will be the
guests of the Chairman of the Alexandria Harbor for lunch on the day of
arrival, whereas the governor invites us for lunch on Sunday.
We will go by
bus and lodge in a hotel for a reduced fare not exceeding the sum of
what we mentioned before, the minimum number of participants should not
be less than 15 members.
All
participants should be journalists, or either members of a diplomatic or
consular mission, or scholars with item-related interests.
Please register
for participation from now and deposit at the FPA office the reservation
sum, to enable us to tell you as soon as possible if we have reached the
"travel quorum" and will be able to go ahead.
NB: The
deadline for reservation and to register your name will be coming

يومى السبت والآحد القادمين الموافقين 21-22 مارس 2009،
تقوم جمعية المراسلين الآجانب بالقاهرة بتنظيم زيارة الى مدينة الآسكندرية
يشمل برنامج الزيارة ميناء الآسكندرية الدولى والذى يتطلب
موافقات أمنية، مكتبة الآسكندرية، بمتاحفها وقاعاتها الجديدة، زيارة متحف
الآسكندرية القومى، وعدة لقاءات صحفية مميزة معدة خصيصا لزيارة وفد
المراسلين الآجانب للآسكندرية
يشمل اليوم الآول – السبت بعد الوصول زيارة الى الميناء
ولقاء صحفى مع رئيس هيئة الميناء أو من ينوب عنه مع وصف تفصيلى لكل
المستجدات على الطبيعة يليه الذهاب الى فندق المحروسة لوضع الآمتعة وأخذ
الغرف ثم دعوة للغذاء بمطعم الهيلتون بمكتبة الآسسكندرية يعقبها زيارة
للمكتبة ومتاحفها الجديدة ولقاء الدكتور أسماعيل سراج الدين فى لقاء صحفى
معه يعقبه محاضرة عن مستقبل الثقافة فى مدينة الآسسكندرية يرأسها الدكتور

يوم الآحد نقوم بزيارة الى متحف الآسكندرية القومى ونلتقى
فى ندوة صحفية مع الدكتور أبراهيم درويش ليحدثنا عن أخر المستجدات بمشروع
متحف الآسكندرية تحت الماء يليها لقاء أخر مع الدكتور أحمد عبد الفتاح،
مدير الآثار بالآسكندرية سابقا ثم نتوجه الى مبنى المحافظة لنلتقى سيادة
المحافظ عادل لبيب فى مؤتمر ولقاء صحفى وبعدها يستضيف الوفد فى دعوة للغذاء
بمطعم سيجول، يلى ذلك زيارة الى المعهد السويدى بالآسكندرية فى لقاء تعارفى
مع رئيس المركز ثم ندوة عن تاريخ الآسكندرية ماقبل الآسكندر الآكبر تلقيها
الدكتورة منى حجاج ثم العودة الى القاهرة
نظرا لزيارة ميناء الآسكندرية برجاء لمن يرغب فى التسجيل أن
يرسل على العنوان البريدى صورة
البطاقة
الشخصية أو جواز السفر للآهمية القصوى،
وسيتم تخفيض تكلفة الآقامة من قبل المحافظة بفندف المحروسة التابع للقوات
البحرية بكورنيش الآسكندرية ولذا ستكون التكلفة أقل من المبلغ المعلن عنه
سابقا، برجاء سرعة تسجيل الآسماء قبل يوم الثلاثاء القادم حتى يتسنى لنا
القيام بكافة الترتيبات المتعلقة بالزيارة
