Location: Auditorium of the College de la Salle, Daher. Cairo

(Entry upon presentation of invitation card*)

 

 

 

The Embassy of Canada in Cairo is organizing a high school knowledge competition <Championnat des Écoles> for students from 16 to 18 years old at all the French schools in Cairo on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of Quebec City and the 12th Francophonie Summit that will be held in October 2008 in Quebec City, Canada.   

 

Invitees to this event are: diplomats, school directors, professors, parents, students, free visitors and journalists.

 

The competition will consist of a series of questions related to the history, geography, literature, arts, music and French language: Canada and the Francophonie. Pairs of teams (composed of four students each) representing each school will face off until the winning teams are determined. 

 

The final match will take place on the evening of the 23rd, from 7 to 9pm.

 

The Ambassador of Canada will honour the best teams by granting medals and prizes.

  

* FREE tickets are available at the Embassy of Canada (Garden City), CFCC Mounira, Virgin Megastore – Vero Moda and Jack & Jones (City Stars), World Gym (Heliopolis) and at all participating schools.
